Website improvements in time for the Holidays. Part 2

Under our products tab, we have added some great new products! Check out our Product Recommendation Matrix to help you decide which VB product is right for your company’s needs. In our Video Management Platform we have added a “Record” feature and a “Playlist” feature. Use your webcam to create several videos, and then create a Playlist.
A Playlist:

Website improvements in time for the Holidays

We have a great holiday gift for our community of users! We have made some great improvements to our website and platform to help you get video on your website. We listened to your suggestions and we have made some awesome changes! You may have noticed that we moved the “Login” from the top of the page to the middle to make it easier and more efficient to access your videos. The Login is also a universal login so you can use it to post forum questions about online video, upload videos, and add blog comments. If you don’t have a login, they are easy to create.

New Feature on the VB Platform

Did you know that with the latest VB Platform release; a cool new webcam feature is now available? Offering an easy way to put video content on the platform, the record feature is also a great way to send video emails, video greetings, and follow-ups.

All Hail Master Chief

Master Chief has returned in Microsoft’s Halo 3 and the video game market welcomes the return of a great hero. What does this have to do with online video? The video game market and the video market have been converging for years and we can all learn from the success of video games ( Halo 3’s first day sales, $170 Million). Make your online video’s interesting, short, and interactive — all Hail Master Chief!

Video Green Screen on the Go?

Need blue/green screen work for your online video? Check out the “Lite Ring” by Reflectmedia. This product lets you shoot green screen without the costly need of having to book a studio each time you want to use this tool.  It is portable, which means you can take it anywhere, for example; trade shows, offices, client sites, etc. A great video tool to create better online video.

NBC for Free

After cutting ties with Apple, NBC will soon be offering viewers the ability to download shows for free. This is a major move in net content distribution and could shape the future of video delivery. This may seem great now, but once you’re hooked will they start charging more than iTunes? In the future, I think some content ( i.e. major TV shows) will be free, but I see prime content staying with subscription/ purchase options.

Where are you?

Every week, companies are using video to expand their web presence. If your company has web video, good for you. If not, what are you waiting for?

And the Emmy goes to…Current TV

Congratulations Current TV on your “Interactive Television Service” Emmy Award! The combination of online video and traditional television is now an accepted medium.
